### What works with SimplyPrint

Connected through Klipper (Moonraker), SimplyPrint supports most of what it offers on the RepRap Neo: the camera and AI failure detection, remote printing, skipping objects, temperature and movement control and AutoPrint. Not yet in SimplyPrint through Klipper (Moonraker): download the file before the print starts. Not available through Klipper (Moonraker): print binary G-code (.bgcode).

## What slicer to use for the RepRap Neo

Use Cura: it has a ready-made profile for the RepRap Neo.

## The app for the RepRap Neo

SimplyPrint works as the RepRap Neo's app: on your phone and in any browser, with a slicer in the cloud.

- An app for iPhone and Android, the same in any browser, and a slicer in the cloud.
- More than monitoring: a print queue, AI failure detection, AutoPrint and accounts for a team.
- Printers from many brands in one place, side by side.
- Hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, under the GDPR.

## Automate the RepRap Neo

**A belt printer automates itself.** The RepRap Neo prints onto a conveyor belt that carries each finished print away, so it needs no plate swapper or ejection kit: AutoPrint starts the next job from your queue as soon as the last one has moved off.

### Ways to automate it

- [Print onto the belt](https://staging.simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/belt-printers): A belt printer keeps printing: AutoPrint starts the next job as the belt moves the last one away.
- [Your own ejection G-code](https://staging.simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/custom): Write the routine that clears your plate, and AutoPrint runs it after every print.
- [A robot arm, or anything with an API](https://staging.simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/api): Tell SimplyPrint the plate is clear through the API or a webhook, from a robot arm or your own system.
- [Clear it by hand, keep the queue](https://staging.simplyprint.io/features/autoprint/manual-mode): AutoPrint waits for you to mark the plate clear, then starts the next job.

[How AutoPrint works](https://staging.simplyprint.io/features/autoprint). AutoPrint comes with the Pro plan and up.

## What filament can the RepRap Neo print?

Filament compatibility for the RepRap Neo: the materials it can handle, judged from its hotend, bed, chamber and enclosure.

| Filament | Suitability | Notes |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| PLA | Great | The easiest filament to print. Works on almost any printer; a heated bed helps adhesion but is not required. |
| PETG | With care | Marginal - PETG prefers a hotter bed (~70-80C) than this printer reaches. |
| TPU & flexibles | With care | Possible, but a Bowden extruder makes flexibles harder - print slowly and prefer firmer (higher-shore) TPU. |
| ABS & ASA | Not ideal | Not recommended - the bed cannot reach the ~90-110C ABS and ASA need. |
| Nylon (PA) | Not ideal | Not recommended - nylon needs a hotter hotend (~250-270C) and ideally an enclosure. |
| Polycarbonate (PC) | Not ideal | Not recommended - PC needs very high hotend temps and an enclosed chamber. |
| Carbon-fiber & glass-filled | With care | Possible if you fit a hardened or wear-resistant nozzle - the abrasive fibers quickly wear a stock brass nozzle. |

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the RepRap Neo compatible with SimplyPrint?

Yes. You can connect the RepRap Neo to SimplyPrint via Klipper (Moonraker) or OctoPrint, then slice, queue, start and monitor prints from your browser or the mobile app.

### How do I connect the RepRap Neo to SimplyPrint?

Follow our step-by-step setup guide for the RepRap Neo. It shows how to connect it via Klipper (Moonraker) or OctoPrint, what you need for each, and which to pick.

### What slicer should I use for the RepRap Neo?

We recommend Cura for the RepRap Neo. You can run it, and 6 other slicers, directly in SimplyPrint's online slicer - no install, on any device, with profiles for the RepRap Neo kept up to date automatically.

### Can I use OrcaSlicer with the RepRap Neo?

Yes, but OrcaSlicer has no built-in profile for the RepRap Neo that we know of: start from a similar printer's profile and set the bed size, height and nozzle to match.

### What filament can the RepRap Neo print?

Based on its specs (hotend up to 265C, no heated bed), the RepRap Neo handles PLA well. See the full filament guide above for ABS, nylon, PC and composites.

### Does the RepRap Neo work with OctoPrint or Klipper?

The RepRap Neo works with OctoPrint or Klipper (Mainsail and Fluidd), and SimplyPrint connects to it through them - so you get cloud access, a queue and camera monitoring on top.

### What is the RepRap Neo's bed size and build volume?

The RepRap Neo has a 150 x 150 mm print bed and prints up to 150 mm tall, a build volume of about 150 x 150 x 150 mm. See the full specifications table above for bed type, temperatures and more.

### Can the RepRap Neo eject prints automatically?

There's no kit for it that we support yet, but SimplyPrint's AutoPrint can run your own ejection G-code, work with a robot arm through the API, or wait for you to clear the plate, and then start the next job from your queue.
